Uganda – The Second Purpose Driven Nation

Posted by susanb99 on March 31, 2008

The African country of Uganda will be the second purpose driven nation according to a Christian Post article, Rick Warren Launches ‘Purpose Driven’ Plan in Uganda.

Warren hopes “that lives will be transformed and churches will be strengthened. My message to individuals is to build your life on purpose, instead of prestige, possessions or pleasure. My challenge to churches is to cooperate, not compete, and my challenge to business and government leaders is to use their influence for the glory of God and partner with local churches in solving community problems.”

Warren is describing the 3-Legged Stool concept which was conceived by Peter Drucker, a business management guru, as a means to bring all societal sectors (private, public, social/faith-based) into one manageable, controllable roof. Frances Hesselbein of Leader To Leader Journal (Drucker Foundation) states it this way, “The mission of the social sector is to change lives. It accomplishes this mission by addressing the needs of the spirit, the mind, and the body — of individuals, the community, and society. This sector also provides individuals and corporations with a significant sphere in which to practice effective and responsible citizenship.”

We’re not witnessing some fly-by-night idea that maybe someday will come to fruition. The 3-Legged Stool AND the Purpose-driven philosophies are very neatly designed to fit into the Agenda 21 of the United Nations. The Agenda 21 is sustainable development criteria created to control people, under the guise of “meet[ing] the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs”. Throughout the Agenda 21 it is written about the connecting and intertwining of the three sectors.

Purpose-driven does not have its own doctrines or faith parameters. It is a shell of a program that anyone can use – corporations, Hindus, Episcopalians, Baptists, Muslims, Catholics, Charismatics, Rwanda, Uganada and yes, the United Nations, which is educating and pushing the annihilation of the Christian belief system; in fact, any system in which there are absolutes. Christianity is based on the absolute core doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Purpose-driven is based on alleviating social ills, with proof-texting references to scripture. Jesus Christ changes lives; He is our Hope. Purpose-driven is a program invented to give out medications, money, and false hope — a one-world religion at its ugly end.
