Don’t Bother Mentioning Jesus Christ

Posted by susanb99 on April 23, 2010

On June 16, 2006, Rick Warren spoke at Sinai Temple’s Friday Night Live Shabbat services as part of the Synagogue 3000 program which “aims to revitalize Jewish worship”. And why was Mr. Warren there?

He was there to give a pep-talk to encourage people to worship a false god:

“Warren told [Rabbi Ron] Wolfson his interest is in helping all houses of worship, not in converting Jews……Warren managed to speak for the entire evening without once mentioning Jesus — a testament to his savvy message-tailoring.” (Jewish Journal editor-in-chief)

On page 283 of Rick Warren’s book The Purpose Driven Life , Warren states:

“These words of Jesus [the Great Commission] are not the Great Suggestion. If you are a part of God’s family, your mission is mandatory. To ignore it would be disobedience….God holds you responsible for the unbelievers who live around you…. your mission is to share Jesus with them.”

Warren doesn’t live according to his own words, but he expects others to “do as I say/write, not as I do”? Warren makes it clear at the beginning of the PDL book “It’s not about you”. But of course it is, in more ways than one. It’s about YOU, the people who read the book, but it’s not about ME, Rick Warren, because I’m above all that nonsense (the Great Commission). He obviously does not believe his own words and does not live them.

He goes on in the PDL book (page 284):

“Your mission has eternal significance. It will impact the eternal destiny of other people, so it’s more important than any job, achievement, or goal you will reach during your life on earth.”

More important than any goal? More important than the P.E.A.C.E. plan, Warren’s dominionist goal to achieve world peace? Obviously, the Great Commission takes a back seat (or no seat at all) to his P.E.A.C.E. plan. And he calls himself a Christian? Good works and mentioning Jesus (when it’s “appropriate”) doesn’t cut it.

The Jews today do not worship the true God, the One with a Son, Jesus Christ. They rejected Jesus Christ, God Incarnate. The Jews do not acknowledge the One God in three persons, The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit. They may call him the same as they did before rejecting Jesus, but they worship a false god, one who cannot hear.

NO ONE helps someone worship their false god and then claims to be a Bible-believing Christian. Warren only has faith  in his purpose-driven program and PEACE Plan. His dirty, rotten, stinking, gnat-covered fruit is an abomination.

Food Tactics: The P.E.A.C.E. Plan Role in the World Food Program

Posted by susanb99 on January 9, 2009

From Herescope:

Now, what the church has, when I talk about churches, first thing, universal distribution. I could take you to 10 million villages around the world the only thing in it is church. They don’t have a school. They don’t have a clinic. They don’t have anything else. It is the only social structure in much of the world. You get out of the capital, there isn’t a government in most of the world. The church is universally there. The boots are already on the ground. The church is bigger than the United Nations. It speaks more languages than the United Nations. It’s with more people groups than the United Nations. There are 2.3 billion people in the world who claim to be followers of Christ. Now, that’s all different varieties, factions, and levels of commitment. But there are 2.3 billion people who are church members. That means the church is bigger than China. [1]

In a little-noticed Wall Street Journal article last week (1/2/09) a new way to address the problem of world hunger was proposed. Rather that simply handing out food to the poor and needy, from now on the United Nations World Food Program (WFP) will be databanking and monitoring food distribution to starving individuals.

“U.N. Tackles Rising Threat of Urban Hunger in Africa” authored by Sarah Childress is subtitled “High Food Prices Spur World Food Program, Usually Employed in Rural Crises, to Find Tactics That Work in Crowded Cities.”

Just what tactics? According to the article, the “escalating hunger in Africa is forcing aid agencies… to scramble for strategies” that will help “identify who’s most in need of help.” As part of this identification process, the WFP will be conducting an “experiment with cash and voucher systems” ostensibly for the purpose of avoiding the upset of local economies. The recipient will receive a “beneficiary card” which they can show at “a local office each month to receive vouchers” for cash, and a “local microfinance agency… will take the vouchers and handle the reimbursements.”

The aid groups are using “more nuanced surveys” as one of the tactics to identify the “neediest people” and will be “evaluating them on factors including access to clean water and the size of their dwellings.” The article then says that the aid “organization will analyze the data.”

In a perfect world this idealistic plan might work to help local microeconomies. But that isn’t what this plan is all about. It isn’t about simple food distribution to the poor, starving and needy in Africa. Rather, this plan represents a fundamental shift in how aid will be given to people. This shift is taking place at both the macro and micro levels in tandem with international foundations, NGOs, corporations, mission and aid groups.

This food voucher plan requires people to register first before they receive food. Register with whom and for what purpose? From the point that someone registers for and/or receives the voucher they will enter the “system.” Everything they do from that point on will be monitored, databanked and assessed. This is how the emerging global governance system will work.

What role will Rick Warren and his church-based health clinics play in all of this? Perhaps none. But it is remarkable how similarly structured this food voucher plan is to the purpose-driven formula of “transforming health care delivery through the full engagement of the local church linked to existing health care systems to work together for the common purpose of community health.”[2]

The Pied Pipers of Purpose monograph published in 2004 (Conscience Press) examined management guru Peter Drucker’s activities on overhauling the conduct of the Private Sector (the 3rd leg of his 3-legged stool concept). Drucker, who mentored Rick Warren, advocated an assessment-based system of monitoring efficiency and effectiveness for charitable organizations, which included the concept of merging State and Church (including private charities) into faith-based endeavors. A key facet of this results-based system was regulating “choices,” which notably would include the concept of “vouchers.” These vouchers, while purportedly giving people “choice,” would actually function as a method of human control. “Accountability” for quantifiable and qualitative results would be based institutional standards — benchmarks for human performance that were inflexible, restrictive, unyielding, and even punitive. And in Drucker’s model, human beings are referred to as “human capital” — their “value” is assessed in terms of how much they can contribute to the common good of Society. The monograph explained how “vouchers” work in the education realm:

Charter schools and vouchers blur the lines between Drucker’s three sectors of society – nonprofit, corporate and state – because of how the money passes hands and who is ultimately in control. Charter schools and vouchers, which are run by business corporations and/or sub-entities of the government, operate in compliance with education reform standards set by the State. The State defines the results and prescribes the assessments to measure the learners, who are technically public students. State monies are then, in turn, paid to the corporations who operate the charters.

Now, apply this same concept of vouchers to global food distribution and it becomes apparent that this system could quickly become fraught with trouble. The Wall Street Journal article does not mention the corporate partners in this voucher-for-food program. But State (local, national and international) corruption alone, including bribery, unseemly conduct and unethical collusion, could easily cripple this system. The poor starving individual who just wants food to eat could become caught up in a web of unsavory interconnections and entanglements.

And what role would the 3rd leg of the stool — the church and/or aid groups — play in this food-for-voucher scheme? What if the local church “distribution center” in every local village became an outlet for food voucher registration and management? It may not be a far-fetched possibility. The monograph observes the downside to all of this:

Many advocates of government-funded faith-based charities believe that the end justifies the means, and will point to the “results” as evidence of a good work being done. These good-intentioned people probably don’t realize that their activities further the political goals of communitarian societal transformation. These folks may not understand the long-term negative repercussions of cooperating with this new system of governance. In a communitarian worldview any truly private entity (family, charity, church and small Christian school) poses a direct challenge to the “common good.”

This is an interesting statement in light of Rick Warren’s recent activities in promulgating Communitarian agendas and ideals such as the “common good.” When one considers that his church-based clinics in Africa are health-care data-driven centers, cooperating with a multitude of partners across the full spectrum of a global 3-legged stool, it raises many uncomfortable questions about their ultimate “purpose.” Is it really to offer care and meet physical needs? Or is there more to it? What happens to the survey information once it is databanked? It this just a way to get poor people into the international governance “system”? The monograph comments on the negative effects of Peter Drucker’s plans for overhauling the 3rd leg of the stool:

This is institutional charity, not the private act of a widow’s mite. The Scriptural admonitions to give to him that asketh thee (Matt. 5:42) and freely ye have received, freely give (Matt. 10:8b) no longer apply. If a charity doesn’t perform up to par, monies are withdrawn. This is because organized charitable donations are now being used as an instrument to effect change, to produce transformation….

Transformation is being built on the backs of those who are the most vulnerable, helpless, and powerless. To put this post in its larger global context, check out Berit Kjos’s new webpage topic GLOBAL FOOD MANAGEMENT and follow the many links. It is not too far-fetched to question any new-fangled global food management program. And it is important to raise ethical concerns about how food is being used as a lever for transformation.

The Truth:
“Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” (Luke 5:30-31)

Rick Warren Is Not Opposed To Homosexual Partnerships

Posted by susanb99 on December 30, 2008

From True Discernment:

In his own Words: Rick Warren is not Opposed to Homosexual Partnerships: The Video

In his own words from his own Web Site

Rick Warren at 3 minutes and 38 seconds of his 12/22/2008 News & Views Video says that he is not opposed to Homosexual partnerships, but he is opposed to Homosexuals using the term marriage for their partnerships.

Makes you wonder if he has taken tips from Bill Clinton on how to make something seem different when actually it is not, by using vague and undefined language!

Rick Warren says that marriage is between a man and a woman and that sex is not to occur outside marriage, but he is not opposed to Homosexual partnerships, hmmm. And he has never claimed that Homosexual relationships are the same as pedophilia or incest as those relationships are forced, hmmm Mr. Warren what act is not forced in homosexual partnerships?

Now before we try and clear the very heavy mud with which Mr. Warren speaks let me say this. I see now why politicians like him so much!

As he speaks with the same lack of clarity as they do! He attempts to speak a message that pleases almost everyone while upsetting almost no one.

First he pacifies his Saddleback followers: Of course he believes that Marriage is just between a man and a woman! And that sex should only occur in a marriage.

This last statement further pacifies his followers as it makes it look as if he infers that his later statement about him being ok with Homosexual partnerships means that those homosexual partners are not having sexual relations. Hmmm ok, and with that we can either try to believe that Mr.  Warren is really naive and thinks that a Homosexual partnership means remaining celibate and just holding hands! Or we can say he is being actively vague in order to be deceptive in order to curry favor with certain groups!

Mr. Warren with his vague language also pacifies those unrepentant homosexuals who are leaning his way and it takes the heat off of his politician friends, who don’t want to be associated with someone who is against homosexuality but want to curry favor with apostate “christian” voters. By Mr. Waren saying that Homosexual relationships are not the same as incest or pedophilia! Which I mean come on, when you are trying to use logic that says Homosexuality is not the same as incest or pedophilia because it is not forced! What is not forced? The sex is not forced! It’s voluntary!

Mr. Warren neatly leaves the door open to later “adjust” his stance on homosexuality further should he receive flack from the homosexual lobby or his political buddies!

And Mr. Warren once again covers all his bases, nice tap dancing there Rick! This man’s phone must be ringing off the hook from Politicians asking him if he can help them with their speech writing!

Now if you listened to the earlier portions of the video you will hear Rick Warren saying that Christian Bloggers who criticize him should “Get a Life”.

In his words Bloggers just exist to create conflict and to feed off of that conflict!

I have a message for you Mr. Warren, this site does not exist to create and feed off of conflict. It exists to inform Christians of wolves like you who are false Christians! People like you who trample into the dust the Truth of God’s Word, who have a form of Godliness, but deny the power there of!

It grieves my spirit to see men like you obscure and then destroy the Truth of God’s word for their own fallen and selfish ambitions! Who comform to the World while you deform the Word!

This video should make all Christians fall on their knees and weep before God for the damage that you do to the name of Christ!

It is supremely tragic that anyone would follow this man and actually claim that he is a Minister of the Gospel of Christ!

This man speaks with a forked tongue! First he trashes Valid Online Christian Discernment Ministries! Then once he has marginalized those ministries he starts into his world conforming compromise message that he is not opposed to Gays! He is not opposed to Gay Partnerships, and that he embraces views that are accepted by the majority of the World!

I ask WHERE is there ANY Biblical support for what he is spewing in this video! There is none! His words are actually a Non-Christian World conforming and hence Bible denying message!

Romans 12:1-2:

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God

I am not sure how long Saddleback will leave this video up, of course they may be at the point where they do not care anymore what Rick Warren spews forth, as their base of followers are so compromised that they cannot recognize what is Truth and what is a lie!

The people who follow after Rick Warren have become blind to God’s Truth because they have replaced their Love for God for the love of a Man!

It is utterly heartbreaking to know what their end will be!

And in closing, do you know why you do not see hardly any high profle mega ministers admonishing Mr. Warren over his muddy world conforming speech?

They know and utilize the same language, and to come out and speak against Rick Warren means they might lose their “High Seat”. They might get tagged by the main stream media as “extremist” and not get invited again to schmooze on national television.

The Anti-Gospel, Anti-Christ Activist

Rick Warren at 2008 Clinton Global Initiative – Interview by Eboo Patel
(video added 11/8/08)

Last week at the Clinton Global Initiative, Warren was asked how “the church” could help to solve poverty. His response was to rattle off the numbers of Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims and Christians in the world – in that order – and make a plea that the public and private sectors take seriously “the faith sector as the third leg of the stool of successful development”…

I caught up with Warren after the panel and asked him directly how he thought about religious diversity. He talked to me about his friendship with his Muslim neighbor, and about how excited he was to speak at the upcoming MPAC [Muslim Public Affairs Council] conference in December. He was keenly aware of the important role that Muslims played in helping victims during the genocide in Rwanda, and he was engaging that community in his current efforts in that country…

When I asked Warren to name something that he admired about Muslims, he answered without hesitation: “you people are not afraid to talk about God, he said with a smile. It’s always, ‘God willing’, or ‘God bless’, or ‘Thanks be to God.’ That’s something I admire, because I come from the same place.” [emphasis added] (article by Eboo Patel Rick Warren, Interfaith Activist” 9/29/08)

Has anyone told Warren or perhaps he hopefully has read it somewhere (the Bible) that Allah, the Muslim god, is not the true living God of the Bible? That “the church”, the one Warren says he belongs to, does not include false religions who worship false dead gods? That Jesus Christ never commanded us Christians to combat poverty (not to be confused with helping people), to erradicate poverty, only to “preach the Gospel to the poor”? That we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers?

Rick Warren doesn’t teach sin and repentance, Jesus Christ the Hope of the world. Instead he is an anti-gospel, anti-christ activist, spreading and promoting false religions, lifting them up as the savior of the world by means of the “faith sector as the third leg of the stool of successful development”.  “Successful development” is not the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Warren’s P.E.A.C.E. Plan is not the Gospel. Only the Bible can give us the true Gospel, except Warren doesn’t bother with scripture. He’d rather do it his way, as he says “I come from the same place“, the worship of the Muslim god Allah.

Jesus’ Bridge-Builder and Co-Savior

Posted by susanb99 on June 2, 2008

“I’m not trying to impress other Christians. I’m trying to build a bridge to unbelievers so that Jesus can walk across.” – Rick Warren  (emphasis added)

Rick Warren’s drive and purpose is clear: dismantle the Gospel of Jesus Christ and re-define the scriptural boundaries of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the gospel that Warren himself purports to teach, in order to prominently elevate his P.E.A.C.E. Plan for all the world to properly acknowledge. His gospel is based on HIS efforts to help Jesus. Obviously his god and lord is so unprepared and powerless that he has to invent a purpose-driven gospel, sell the product, and then elevate himself as the “co-savior” of mankind – the ONLY person in two thousand years who has finally stepped up to the plate and taken charge, the ONLY person who is willing to use his ill-gotten gains (sales of a New Age book Purpose Driven Life) to promote himself and his merchandizing ways.

Warren isn’t aware that JESUS is the only mediator between God and men (1st Timothy 2:5). He is a  blatant heretic, leading people AWAY from Christ and His Word. Christians are to preach the Gospel, not become bridge-builders for Jesus, as if Jesus Christ needs ANYONE’S help in saving people.

Jesus said unto him: I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes to the Father, but by Me. John 14:6

Give the Glory to God! – OR – Give P.E.A.C.E. a Chance

Posted by susanb99 on June 2, 2008

From World Net Daily:

By Rick Warren
© 2008 WorldNetDaily

Editor’s [Joseph Farah’s] note: The following is a response to Joseph Farah’s column, “Give the glory to God!” (Farah’s reply will appear tomorrow.)

I believe Jesus Christ deserves all the glory. It is the purpose of life. The stated theme of the PEACE plan is, “For the global glory of God.” That statement is printed on PEACE material. Our members, and other churches doing PEACE call it the “3-G” statement. One church in North Carolina built a “Global Glory of God house” which houses PEACE missionaries.

Joseph, you know that as a rule I don’t answer critics, but we can’t ignore what the Bible says about this important subject. I just happen to have a Bible study I wrote on it. Here it is.

1. The Bible clearly states in many major passages that God wants His body and bride to receive glory.

Paul commanded that both Christ and his bride receive glory: ” … to God be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” Ephesians 3:21 (NIV)

“He died so that he could give the church to himself like a bride in all her glorious beauty. He died so that the church could be pure and without fault, with no evil or sin or any other wrong thing in it.” Ephesians 5:27 (NCV)

Glory belongs to God in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time and eternity! Amen.” Ephesians 3:21 (GW)

“God is the One who made all things, and all things are for his glory. He wanted to have many children share his glory, so he made the One who leads people to salvation perfect through suffering.” Hebrews 2:10 (NCV)

May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages. Amen.” Ephesians 3:21 (NLT)

“I die every day – I mean that, brothers – just as surely as I glory over you in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 15:31 (NIV)

You certainly agree with these verses, don’t you, Joseph?

2. Jesus clearly stated that He receives glory through His church. He said the church is His glory!

“And all of them, and since they are mine, they belong to you; and you have given them back to me, so they are my glory!” John 17:10 (NLT)

“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

“All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.” John 17:10 (NIV)

“Paul gloried in the church and told them: Indeed, you are our glory and joy.” 1 Thessalonians 2:20 (NIV)

3. Christ intends for his church to share in his glory! Giving glory to Christ’s bride and body gives glory to Christ. Christ’s eternal plan has always been to share his glory forever with this church, his bride. Salvation, sanctification and glorification are all Christian doctrine.

“And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share his glory and his honor when he returns.” 1 Peter 5:1 (NLT)

“Christ is our life, and when he comes again, you will share in his glory.” Colossians 3:4 (NCV)

“Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.” Romans 5:2 (NLT)

“Now if we are children, then we are heirs – heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:17 (NIV)

“Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will give us later.” Romans 8:18 (NLT)

“Everything God made is waiting with excitement for God to show his children’s glory completely.” Romans 8:19 (NCV)

” … [T]hat everything God made would be set free from ruin to have the freedom and glory that belong to God’s children.” Romans 8:21 (NCV)

“And so those whom God set apart, he called; and those he called, he put right with himself, and he shared his glory with them.” Romans 8:30 (TEV)

“As objects of his mercy, we were prepared in advance for glory. What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory …” Romans 9:23 (NIV)

“For it has pleased God to tell his people that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. For this is the secret: Christ lives in you, and this is your assurance that you will share in his glory.” Colossians 1:27 (NLT)

“Christ is our life, and when he comes again, you will share in his glory.” Colossians 3:4 (NCV)

“He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 2:14 (NIV)

“And when the head Shepherd comes, your reward will be a never-ending share in his glory and honor.” 1 Peter 5:4 (NLT)

I have found that more I honor Christ’s body, the more God blesses me.

4. If we are really serious about bringing glory to God, we must love and accept each other in Christ, rather than tearing each other down. Unity glorifies God. Dividing and accusing Christians does not.

“Christ accepted you, so you should accept each other, which will bring glory to God. Romans 15:7 (NCV)

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” Ephesians 4:29 (NIV)

“But the true wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others.” It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no partiality and is always sincere. And these who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of goodness.” James 3:17-18 (NLT)

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Ephes. 4:31-32 (NLT)

5. Creating division does not bring glory to God.

“Human anger does not achieve God’s righteous purpose.” James 1:20 (TEV)

“Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.” Romans 14:4 (NIV)

“Each of us will give an account of himself to God. Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother’s way.” Romans 14:12-13 (NIV)

6. What brings God the most glory is love and unity in his body.

The entire law is summed up in a single command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

“If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” Galatians 5:14-15 (NIV)

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 15:5-6 (NIV)

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.” John 17:22 (NIV)

Mark Driscoll and Purpose Driven

Posted by susanb99 on April 17, 2008

Rick Warren has scheduled a pastors’ conference at Saddleback Church next month. The aim is to “band together to impact the world” by participating in “a brand-new, world-shattering, myth-busting, ministry-affirming, God-anointed, BY-INVITATION-ONLY event. We’re going to share all the new tools we’ve been developing for you.”

Included in the list of speakers is Mark Driscoll. What is a supposedly Bible-teaching pastor doing at a purpose-driven conference? Teaching the Bible is not one of them. Let’s see, where would Driscoll fit in? (my notes in brackets; emphasis added)

Evangelism: …we’ll talk about the importance of personal evangelism, and share what has helped challenge our members to go out in the Community and invite their friends. Let’s talk about reaching out to non-believers in our area and seeing Christ through their eyes.

[preaching/teaching the Gospel is not part of PD’s Evangelism]

Worship: …In this panel we’ll discuss tools for reaching the weekend Crowd, messages geared toward personal application, the advantages of using various venues styles, and preaching for life change…

[non-believers CANNOT worship God; God must be worshipped in spirit and in truth (Jesus Christ)]

Fellowship: …we’ll address common goals and problem areas in encouraging our Congregation to connect with the church body…

[in order to produce a cheerfully tithing “giving unit”]

Discipleship: …we’ll break down what we’ve found to work, and what doesn’t work, in motivating the Committed individuals within the church body to truly invest in their spiritual growth, and brainstorm on how to get people serious about their faith…

[just look to scripture and “what works” is easy to find; Warren likes to make it seem soooo difficult]

Ministry: …we’ll cover how to further push the dedicated Core at the heart of the church to discover their spiritual gifts, how to progress them from finding their S.H.A.P.E. to using it… and preparing them for “works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up”.

[how bogus; the SHAPE program was invented by Warren with the help of the writings of occultist/atheist Carl Jung; it is in no way scriptural]

Mission: …Our goal is to spread love, forgiveness, and hope to a lost and hurting world through P.E.A.C.E…

[the love of the world, forgiveness without repentance, and false hope]

Online Source

Where does Driscoll fit it? In order to be involved he will have to lay aside scripture and be part of Warren’s plan to change and take over the world. For Christ, supposedly but actually changing the world is for Warren’s benefit and glory. It is sad that Driscoll is mixed up with this lot. Very sad.

Rick Warren: Playing Both Sides of the Gay Agenda

Posted by susanb99 on April 3, 2008

From Watcher’s Lamp:

Is the gay agenda simply just another pawn in Rick Warren’s global Purpose Driven PEACE Plan? As a Southern Baptist pastor, does Rick Warren sympathize with homosexuality or does he refute it?

Apparently, it depends on what country Rick Warren is promoting his Purpose Driven PEACE plan. Let’s take a look at Rick Warren’s geographically-driven position on homosexuality… Read More…

Rick Warren’s Global Peace Plan vs. Scriptural Teachings On Peace

Posted by susanb99 on April 3, 2008

Online Book by James Sundquist

Excerpt from Chapter 2:

What Is Missing?

Holy Spirit

What is startling about Warren’s PEACE plan is not so much what it contains, but what it does not contain. There is no mention of our adversary in spiritual warfare. There is no mention of the Holy Spirit in his global PEACE plan. Bob DeWaay exposes this fatal flaw in his new book, Redefining Christianity, in the chapter entitled “Understanding the Purpose-Driven Movement.”14

Where is the prince of the power of the air from scripture, which any biblical peace plan must take into account? “Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.”15

Satan still has temporary possession of the kingdoms of this earth; he offered them to Jesus as a temptation in the wilderness at the Lord’s first coming. In fact, Satan will usher in a global peace with signs and wonders that will appear to defeat the giants of Rick Warren’s PEACE plan. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”16

Warren’s plan implies we can simply restore the earth to its Garden of Eden status before Christ returns, but no temporal worldwide peace plan can ultimately succeed until these principalities are conquered and defeated. This will be done by Jesus Christ Himself on the Day of the Lord, when His enemies will be destroyed at the brightness of His second coming. Where are the principalities in Rick Warren’s peace plan? Where is the war? When has the strong man been bound for good? “Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.”17

Uganda – The Second Purpose Driven Nation

Posted by susanb99 on March 31, 2008

The African country of Uganda will be the second purpose driven nation according to a Christian Post article, Rick Warren Launches ‘Purpose Driven’ Plan in Uganda.

Warren hopes “that lives will be transformed and churches will be strengthened. My message to individuals is to build your life on purpose, instead of prestige, possessions or pleasure. My challenge to churches is to cooperate, not compete, and my challenge to business and government leaders is to use their influence for the glory of God and partner with local churches in solving community problems.”

Warren is describing the 3-Legged Stool concept which was conceived by Peter Drucker, a business management guru, as a means to bring all societal sectors (private, public, social/faith-based) into one manageable, controllable roof. Frances Hesselbein of Leader To Leader Journal (Drucker Foundation) states it this way, “The mission of the social sector is to change lives. It accomplishes this mission by addressing the needs of the spirit, the mind, and the body — of individuals, the community, and society. This sector also provides individuals and corporations with a significant sphere in which to practice effective and responsible citizenship.”

We’re not witnessing some fly-by-night idea that maybe someday will come to fruition. The 3-Legged Stool AND the Purpose-driven philosophies are very neatly designed to fit into the Agenda 21 of the United Nations. The Agenda 21 is sustainable development criteria created to control people, under the guise of “meet[ing] the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs”. Throughout the Agenda 21 it is written about the connecting and intertwining of the three sectors.

Purpose-driven does not have its own doctrines or faith parameters. It is a shell of a program that anyone can use – corporations, Hindus, Episcopalians, Baptists, Muslims, Catholics, Charismatics, Rwanda, Uganada and yes, the United Nations, which is educating and pushing the annihilation of the Christian belief system; in fact, any system in which there are absolutes. Christianity is based on the absolute core doctrine of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Purpose-driven is based on alleviating social ills, with proof-texting references to scripture. Jesus Christ changes lives; He is our Hope. Purpose-driven is a program invented to give out medications, money, and false hope — a one-world religion at its ugly end.
