For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. Romans 1:16

Jews, Muslims, Christians: United by Purpose-Driven

Rick Warren attended a large Reform Jewish gathering last Thursday to share his purpose-driven gospel. His “principles”?

“There are some principles that apply regardless of our faith, if it’s Jewish or Christian. Just be nice to people. Smile.” […]

Other advice given by Warren included looking at everything from an outsider’s viewpoint, such as simplifying worship terms, making strangers feel welcome, and encouraging interaction. […]

Other guests at the conference included the Rev Jim Wallis of Sojourners and Dr Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America. Online Source

The Jewish group Synagogue 3000 has been meeting with Warren for about two years.  (June 2005 & June 2006) They are trying desperately to hang on to their Jewish converts, even to the point of using a “christian” program. Purpose-driven does not have its own doctrines or faith parameters. It is a shell of a program that ANYONE can use – corporations, Hindus, Satanists, Baptists, Muslims, Catholics, Charismatics, Jews. I don’t know how long the Muslims have been listening to Warren,  extracting  information and advice out of him, but most likely we will see purpose-driven mosques in the near future.

Of course, PD Synagogues and PD Mosques would not bother Warren one slightest bit. After all, Warren worships the same god as they do, a god who does not have a Son, Jesus Christ.
